"Pretend like it's a video game"

I remember being incredibly excited for spring break. One week off in March? It was like Christmas, but without presents and half the length of time off school.

When university came, it was all about reading week. That's more relatable to this next movie. While Americans call it spring break and have it around this time (March), we have reading week in February. Under the guise of "studying" and "catching up" most of us get out of the city. Whether this is Mexico, Cuba, BC, or a small shopping trip to the States, this time is most similar to Harmony Korine's film "Spring Breakers", but without sociopathic behaviour and excessive drug use. Drinking's O.K though!

I'm very interested to see Korine's latest movie. Mostly because the trailer is a hot mess, which can either mean very good or very bad. According to the reviews thus far, it's mostly good.

Most of the hoop-la surrounding the film has been Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens divergent from their Disney-perfected shells. It's going to be interesting to watch these two in a film such as this with its gratuitous sexuality, blatant drug use, and anything goes attitude.

However I'm most excited to watch James Franco. He's been described as a cross between Bo Derek in 10 and Richard Kiel in Moonraker. How great is that?

Check out the trailer and let me know what you think.
